01
The policy
Vartra collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no location, no microphone, no camera. Nothing you set or make in Vartra leaves your device. On the web, the app loads only its own files, its code and its sounds, from its own address. It contacts no other server. Its security policy tells the browser to load nothing from anywhere else. Our build pipeline scans the built app. The build fails if the code names a server outside a short, reviewed list.
What stays on your device (and only there):
| Data | Where | You control it |
|---|---|---|
| Your settings: the theme, how much of the app is shown, and which version of the first-run safety note you confirmed | on-device database | Settings → Delete all local data |
| The rows you chose (scene, tone, breath) and your breath guide settings | on-device database | same; Settings → Export data shows it as text you can read and copy, and Import data takes that text back |
| Your favourites (saved mixes, each with the name you give it) and which one is saved as the Night start | on-device database | same; Export data and Import data carry them |
| A deletion counter: one number, no content, so that a second open tab cannot write deleted data back | on-device database | changed only by Delete all local data |
| Diagnostics you asked for | on-device ring buffer, no personal data | shown in Settings; leaves the device only if you export and send it yourself |
Custom sessions and custom breath patterns are not in this version. When they arrive, they are kept the same way, and this table names them first.
Share links. In the /try demo, "Share this mix" makes a link that holds the mix as numbers only: no name, no text, no account. The numbers sit after a # in the address, and browsers do not send that part to any server. Opening such a link shows what it holds and changes nothing until you choose Open. Vartra keeps no record of links.
Purchases. Apple and Google process purchases as separate data controllers under their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details, and we hold no purchase record outside your device.
Website. vartra.app runs no advertising pixels and sets no cookies. The server that delivers vartra.app, /try included, may keep ordinary access logs, such as IP addresses. The playable demo at /try carries no counting of any kind. If cookieless, self-hosted visit counting is ever enabled on the marketing pages, this paragraph names it first.

This website

No cookie banner appears, because there is nothing to consent to.
